The ultimate weekend for the sportsman or art lover. Twelve venues throughout Easton feature world-class wildlife paintings, sculpture, carvings and photos. Collectible decoys, sporting gear and adventures to delight every outdoorsman. A wine tasting pavilion not to be missed. Also scheduled are World Championship Calling Contests, decoy auctions, retriever, fly-fishing and stunt dog demonstrations, kid's activities, and evening concerts. A festive atmosphere topped by great food and music make this event a must each November. Free parking and shuttle service.

Over 100 exhibitors are featured. Each year there is a featured carver and artist. All exhibitors are glad to meet and talk with the public. Exhibits are available for purchase. Refreshments will be available. There is an auction held Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Proceeds from this two day show and auction benefit the Deborah Heart and Lung Center located in Browns Mills, New Jersey.

The venue provides an opportunity for people to be educated, through painting, sculpture, carving, and photography, about our environment and the wildlife that thrive in it. This year the Expo features the fisher, recently reintroduced into the Olympic National Park.  National Park rangers will be in attendance to inform the public about the fisher and the reintroduction effort.  In addition to the art galleries, there will be Audubon Society walks, several wildlife slide show presentations, and on-going children’s hands-on nature activities.  The Expo is easy to get to from Seattle and overnight accommodations are readily available.

The 21st Annual Core Sound Decoy Festival will be held December 6 and 7, 2008, in the Harkers Island Elementary School, Harkers Island, N. C. The featured carver for the year is Houston Lewis and the featured decoy is the Cinnamon Teal. Approximately 90 exhibitors will be displaying and selling decoys, wildfowl art, and related items. Decoy competition will be held both days, consisting of both decorative and non-decorative carvings. Also, there will be children’s decoy painting, retriever demonstrations, head carving competition, and loon calling competition. Waterfowl artifacts will be on display both days. In addition, there will be a decoy auction Saturday at 1 pm in the H. Curt Salter Building, located near the Harkers Island bridge and home of the Core Sound Decoy Carvers Guild. Food service will be available both days, featuring Down East clam chowder, shrimp burgers, and banana pudding.
